Great value with top table 50% offer. Apart from this it does exactly what it says on the tin. Upon delivery, the food runner had given us a different, more cheaper wine and told us they were out of Merlot too. Overall we felt like we were sources of cash, not valued customers. Needs a re-think of the menu. The staf was very friendly and on point with everything the food was great then we stayed for drinks, we booked a table and partied till about 2. We bake continuously - morning, noon, and night, so we can serve oven-hot bagels all day long All sandwiches are served on your choice of bagel, and with your choice of condiments: Lettuce, Mayo, Mustard, Onion, Horseradish, Butter, Smart Balance.
Only thing that was really expensive was draft beer £6. And for ice cream that we didn't have. Every step, from the mixing of dough to the baking, is done on-premises. The food was great however a few side orders were out of stock and their communication was not great. Ate on Friday at 7pm, had the 50% off food offer and all the food we had was very nice.
We boil our bagels just before baking, per New York style. Was excited to bring my colleagues here for dinner. Bodo's Schloss is your palace - enjoy laid back Alpine fun, think of apres-ski and good times. In spite of this, the food was good, although a little over priced for its value. Servers were cold and unhelpful.
The veal goulash was tough, veal is supposed to be a tender meat, but not here. We were pressured to give up our table with little warning, and chased to a tiny bar area to finish the drinks we had only just ordered at the table. Ordered the potato pancake appetizer when we placed the reservation. Otherwise, a perfect night club!! Server was very condescending about this. Very expensive for the quality of food, even with a 50% off voucher. It was for my mums bday dinner and she wanted a good atmosphere and music she could dance to.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Steven S from The restaurant was only one quarter full. Had a great evening and my friend's thought the same about this great place. The food was rather ordinary, ketchup with the steak instead of fresh tomato sauce, ordinary food with no Austrian features. Also there was no price of beer on the menu, otherwise we would have had wine or kept to the cocktails £8-10 each. The compulsory 25% service charge was the final straw. Hot Apple strudel with icecream perfect ending to our meals. Unfortunately the disco kicks off quite late.
Be transported straight from the hustle and bustle of Kensington into a beautiful Austrian pine wood farmhouse. We follow a traditional all-natural recipe, with No fats, preservatives, dairy or soy, and we only use unbleached, unbromated flours - for health, and for flavor. We were charged the price of a Cabernet Sauvignon which we didn't order? Thank u to all we chose this restaurant as my mother is from austria. If, after you've had your fill of the european delightful food, if you fancy a boogie, you've come to the right place! Booked the nite b4 a table for 5 on the open table for my bday and got excepted rite away then got a call the next day for a confirmation and then got there that evening. We bake continuously - morning, noon, and night, so we can serve oven-hot bagels all day long Sandwiches All sandwiches are served on your choice of bagel, and with your choice of condiments: Lettuce, Mayo, Mustard, Onion, Horseradish, Butter, Smart Balance. Prices subject to change without prior notice. I had to ask from the server about the charge and she insisted it was just local tax.
They came to the table with entrees without clearing the appetizer plate and then looked at us like we were supposed to move them, seriously? The wine was incredibly expensive. The place looks fantastic, but we booked on a 50% off deal and I was glad not to have paid full price. Our Alpine restaurant offers the culinary delights of Austria such as the classic Wiener Schnitzel, whilst our drinks menu features fine European wines, beer steins, exquisite cocktails as well as our own brand of home made schnapps. We follow a traditional all-natural recipe, with No fats, preservatives, dairy or soy, and we only use unbleached, unbromated flours - for health, and for flavor. The restaurant was out of Cabernet Sauvignon that night, so our waiter suggested he'd bring out Merlot as a replacement instead, which we were fine with.
Please check prices with the restaurant before visiting or ordering. We live about 100 meters from this restaurant so despite the bad reviews still wanted to give it a try. The cooking was a bit lazy really and lacked any passion for Austrian culture. I do have to compliment the muscles on menu option 2 though - they were excellent. Bit rowdy, lots of big parties in but it is December! I would have prefered more food. Bodo's German Restaurant menu in image format shown on this website has been digitised by Zomato. The staff are lovely and the service was excellent.
We had quick dinner before concert royal Albert hall so ideal location. I think that the food needs to be far more of a feature rather than the place and then this venue will be worth visiting. Our hostess made our night. The potatoe pancakes were very good. We boil our bagels just before baking, per New York style.
There were a few discrepancies on our bill. Mom does it just right Rouladen - Rolled beef slices with bacon, onion, mustard and pickle. Every step, from the mixing of dough to the baking, is done on-premises. On the whole a fun venue and the service and food was good, but still prefer this type of food at the Delauny or Steins.
